Recas wins Di Gasell 2023 – Sweden’s championship in growth

Recas is one of Sweden’s most successful companies. This is according to Dagens Industri, which awards Recas the Di Gasell 2023 prize for Västra Götaland. With its operations in Trollhättan, they contribute to new job opportunities in the county.

– I don’t take this lightly, says Micael Lawson, CEO of Recas.

The prestigious Di Gasell award has been presented by Dagens Industri since 2011 and is a tribute to Sweden’s fastest-growing companies. Recas received the award on Tuesday evening, thereby solidifying its position as the most successful and fastest-growing company in Västra Götaland.

– Recas has demonstrated outstanding ability to grow while maintaining a strong financial foundation. It is an honor to receive Di Gasell 2023, says Micael.

To be named a Gasell company, one must meet a range of high criteria, including a net turnover of over 10 million SEK, at least ten employees, doubled turnover when comparing the first and last year over a four-year period, increased turnover each year for the past three years, positive operating results, organic growth, and sound finances. This is something barely 1% of Sweden’s companies achieve.

Nearly one-fifth of Sweden’s population lives in Västra Götaland. This means that Recas makes a significant impact when named this year’s Gasell company in the area.

– We are very proud to stand out in such a prominent and large region, says Micael. About Di Gasell Since 2001, Dagens Industri has named the fastest-growing companies in Sweden’s 21 counties. The nominated companies are scrutinized based on strict criteria, which only a hundred or so companies meet. The most driven companies compete for victory in Stockholm on December 5th.
